Jakarta – Plaza Senayan Jakarta witnessed when Presidential Candidate number 2, Prabowo Subianto, attended a meeting of Erick Thohir Alumni American Society (ETAS) volunteers on Monday (22/1). In that moment, Prabowo expressed his honor for being invited by Garibaldi Thohir, or known as Boy Thohir, in the midst of entrepreneurial alumni from the US in the 80s and 90s.
Prabowo, accompanied by several figures such as Maruarar Sirait, Garibaldi Thohir, and Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir, expressed his joy and emotion seeing the strong support from the ETAS volunteers. Around 120 volunteers were present, who have been fighting alongside Erick Thohir since the National Campaign Team (TKN) in 2019 and declared full support for Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the 2024 Election.
“This is a great honor. I now understand why I lost twice (in the 2014 and 2019 presidential elections) because I was not invited here (with the US alumni) before,” said Prabowo with a smile, referring to the warm welcome from the ETAS volunteers.
The majority of the ETAS volunteers, wearing light blue shirts as a form of support, have been fighting alongside Erick Thohir since the TKN 2019. In their statement of support, they stated that Prabowo-Gibran is the best choice to lead Indonesia for the next five years.
“Not only from Indonesia, ETAS volunteers are also present from various cities in the United States, from Boston to Los Angeles, from Washington to California, from Indiana to Florida. We are here to support you,” said Bernandino Moningka Vega, one of the attending alumni.
During the event, Prabowo expressed his appreciation for the immense trust and support from the ETAS volunteers.
“I am thankful for the immense trust placed on my shoulders,” he said sincerely.
Full support from these US alumni gives Prabowo Subianto extra strength in the competition for the 2024 Presidential Election. Prabowo reaffirmed his commitment to build a better Indonesia, and he invited all parties to unite for the common goals. (SENOPATI)
