It is known that Rizal Ramli passed away at 19.30 WIB at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, Tuesday night (2/1/2024).
“Innalillahi wa innailaihi roji’un. Turut berduka cita atas meninggalnya Dr.Rizal Ramli, salah satu ekonom yang istimewa. Semoga amal ibadah beliau diterima disisi Allah SWT dan keluarga yang ditinggalkan diberi ketabahan. Selamat jalan mas Rizal,” Ganjar said on Twitter.
Similarly, Sandiaga Uno also conveyed his condolences. According to him, the senior economist figure was a discussion partner and very inspiring. Sandiaga prays for Rizal Ramli and his family.
The same thing was conveyed by Mahfud MD. He expressed his condolences for the passing of the former Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment.
“Innaa lillaah wa innaa ilaihi raji’un. My good friend DR. RIZAL RAMLI has passed away tonight. I deeply mourn, a comrade who can support or criticize each other. May the deceased enter heaven. Mas Rizal, rest in peace,” said Mahfud.
Chatib Basri also expressed his condolences. He knew Rizal Ramli since his college days. According to him, Rizal was a brilliant economist and had the necessary criticisms for Indonesia.
“Innalillahi wa innailaihi rojiun. Condolences on the passing of my senior Dr. Rizal Ramli,” said Chatib.
“I have known Rizal since my college days. He was a brilliant economist, a tenacious activist. When I was in government, his criticisms were not easy. But I know it is needed for a better Indonesia. Farewell, Bang Rizal. A great loss for Indonesia,” he said.
